Homemade Creamy Coconut Yogurt 🤤, if you love the stuff but hate spending a bomb to buy it, here is a simple recipe that will save you a few bucks 🤑⠀

During the Clean-in-15, one of the foods we eliminate for the 15 days is dairy. I know giving up some creamy goodness can be hard but coconut yogurt is a wonderful replacement! It works really well in both sweet and savory preparations and also can be used in kebab marinades that ask for yogurt ... I started making it at home, and I have to say, it's so good and so easy!⠀

I prefer using fresh young coconuts but I have a recipe with canned coconut milk as well. ⠀

My kids, like most, love cereal. Me on the other hand, not so much! So we reached a happy medium with homemade granola!⠀

They like getting in the kitchen, and cooking it up together and I love that I can control the ingredients and the amount of sugar we use!⠀

This is a weekend staple at our house!⠀

My version is nut-free but feel free to replace any of the seeds with your nut of choice!!!⠀

More often than not we look at magazines full of models, actresses, and perfect airbrushed bodies, and we think this is what I should look like.⠀
⠀
Many of us grew up in societies where we were shamed for looking a certain way or for not having that “typical girlish figure”⠀
⠀
Many of us grew up thinking that eating indulgent food was something we had to hide or feel guilty about.⠀
⠀
That starving ourselves and going hard at the gym was the only way⠀
⠀
That the number on the scale defined us and our happiness.⠀
⠀
Somewhere along the line, we lost the priority of being healthy and were only focused on one distorted goal.⠀
⠀
I remember being in high school and having an apple and diet Coke and calling that lunch. ⠀
⠀
I remember feeling terrible and insecure, and if life itself was over if the scale tipped the wrong way...⠀
⠀
And now, now I see how important the work I do is, because being healthy is what matters and that my friends, doesn’t look a certain way, and if it did, it probably wouldn’t look like anything you see in those freaking magazines! ⠀
⠀
We are all made different, that’s what God (or whatever you believe in) intended... our differences in size, shape, color, and soul is what makes each of us truly beautiful. ⠀
⠀
I want people to understand that working on your nutrition isn’t working towards a number on a scale - if it was up to me, I would tell everyone to throw out that damn battery-powered contraption that makes so many feel like crap! ⠀

Nutrition starts in the mind friends. The way we see ourselves matters. It shapes our goals, our health, our existence, and our self-worth. ⠀

My goal is to help women of all shapes and sizes get healthy and truly be happy with their beautiful individuality.⠀
