Move over pickled onions, HELLO pickled chili!

500 g (1lb) sliced chili
½ cup white or AC vinegar
½ cup water
3 Tbsp maple syrup
2 tsp salt
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp coriander seeds
2 cloves of garlic, roughly chopped

* Place sliced chillies in a 1 pint sterilized jar.  * Bring vinegar, maple syrup, water, salt and spices to a boil in a saucepan. * Pour the hot pickling liquid over the chilies. Tighten the lid and allow to cool to room temperature.  * Transfer pickled chilies to the fridge to store. 
Enjoy over everything!

Here are 2 tips for cutting and storing your avos. 🥑

1. Push the back of the avocado to pop out the pit instead of using a knife to wedge it out. It’s easier and a lot less dangerous! (I used to struggle at times to get the pit off the knife!)

2. IStore your unused avocados in an airtight container with a cut onion! This will help your avocados last much longer and prevent your them from going brown.

Pour this dal over rice and serve it up with crispy okra and a drizzle of @everiday_foods garlic chili oil for the perfect complete fiber rich plantbased meal!
