coconut aminos instead of soy sauce

If you've been here for a while you know I use coconut aminos A LOT! So much so, that I came out with my own!!!! 😬

You can find my coconut aminos here along with my Asian-inspired chili sauces!

What are coconut aminos?

If you aren't familiar with coconut aminos, it's my Paleo Vegan go-to replacement for soy sauce that’s both gluten and soy-free! This fermented coconut blossom sap is a bit sweeter than soy sauce but with MUCH less sodium! Pro tip: add a squeeze of lemon or lime for added flavor and umami.

Why do I prefer it over Soy Sauce?

Most soy sauces have ingredients like flavor enhancers, preservatives, and coloring, and all soy sauces, even the best quality ones have gluten, soy, and a TON of Sodium.

For many of my clients and a lot of people out there (myself incuded 🙋🏻‍♀️), these ingredients just don't work. Many find they are -
· sensitive to gluten
· have a hard time digesting soy
· and have too much sodium in their diet overall.

So if you love Asian flavors as much as I do but have food sensitivities or are just trying to eat a more whole food diet, you gotta give coconut aminos a try!

You can find them over at www.foodsbyri.com now

Here are some of my favorite recipes using coconut aminos!

Japanese Yakitori

Thai Kale Salad

Anti-Inflammatory Golden Soup

Chili Chicken
